With a new launch coming to the company’s Aquashape line, we traveled to Palm Springs, California to capture photo and video! Before getting to that point, there is a whole lot of back-end work to get done and ready for the shoots. This was my second shoot with the company, so I had a little more experience under my belt and took on more responsibility for this round.
First, as like before, I started with drawing out the various storyboards for the shots we wanted to capture at the location. We outlined 7 short stories, 2 15-second videos, and finally a 30 second catch-all for the collection.
You can take a deeper look at my storyboards if you like, unfortunately the final videos are still being worked on and we’re in communications with the editing company now to finalize these great look videos!

Description:
Having had seen my interest in video from school, my company tasked me with creating story boards for the Spring Summer 2021 collection. This included our whole Dolfin assortment with competitive team suits, new athletes added to Team Dolfin, our signature Uglies training suit, and our leisure Aquashape collection.
I started the process with drawing out all the shots we needed for the video shoot, little did I know I would also be invited to travel to Florida to help direct the videographer! It was an amazing, and tiring, experience to be involved and we produced some amazing content.
Unfortunately, as we know now, right after we wrapped up the videos – the company had to put the new launch on hold due to the COVID 19 pandemic. We had to launch the product in various segments, never being able to utilize the videos to their full extent.
The only proof I can show that a finished product was put out is one of the athletes we featured in a Meet Team Dolfin video was posted on his personal account, @brotateo.
Here is a snippet of the end result video compared to the storyboard for reference!
