Description:
A contact from my hometown reached out to me to design event flyers that her organization was hosting during the summer. She also specifically asked for these posters to be made with Microsoft Publisher, so that if there were any last-minute changes she would be able to edit it. Though that program is limiting compared to Adobe Photoshop or InDesign, I liked the challenge and accepted her request. These flyers were then printed distributed around local shops and venues in Orwigsburg for the whole town to see as well as posted on their Facebook page for maximum reach.
Keeping the sponsors and contact information consistent, I played with the title to get the most attention and the rest of the information easy to read. Please note that the spelling of "sponsors" was fixed before printing, as you can see below, but I lost that file unfortunately for this portfolio.
Visiting my local coffee shop I was pleased to spot one of the flyers in the wild!

Description:
My summer job in 2017 and 2018 included an array of tasks, but the most relevant part of my job was to design flyers and other media for their summer events as well as help run the company Facebook page. Some were requested to be made in Publisher, others I made with Photoshop. These flyers were featured on the commission's Facebook page as well as posted around their community pool.
To go along with a BBQ themed event, they requested the menu be picnic themed to match. They later requested a drink menu to match the food menu. I later worked this event and can personally vouch that the mac and cheese was delicious.
Here it is in action! These signs were placed on surrounding tables to help encourage people to try some food and enjoy the event!
